About MWiL
At MWIL, we're dedicated to providing students with the information, opportunities, and support network they need to tap into their full potential as professionals, students, and young people.
We welcome women and non-binary-identifying students from a range of fields to share their accomplishments and experiences; connect members with extensive opportunities to learn, and ultimately empower them to be critically engaged global leaders. Through a series of diverse guest lectures and speaker panels, an annual conference, workshops, and outreach events, members of MWIL have extensive opportunities to learn, bond, and network with mentors and colleagues.
We hold several events on and off-campus focused on providing educational resources, leadership experiences, and mental & physical wellness to the McGill community. Our events include financial literacy workshops, women in law and women in consulting panels, intersectionality panels, self-defense classes, hot yoga classes, and much more.
We develop partnerships with multiple Montreal non-profit organizations focused on supporting women in vulnerable conditions. Through our fundraising initiatives, we provide financial and material support to a range of charities.
Trailblazers is MWIL's annual leadership and professional development conference. The event features diverse panelists, workshops, complimentary lunch, and networking sessions with successful professionals and company representatives.
We run peer-to-peer and peer-to-professional mentorship programs every year to help our members in gaining insight into different career fields and in finding support in the McGill community from students.

Each year, the Students’ Society of McGill University (SSMU) awards student groups that have dedicated to improving life on campus. McGill Women in Leadership fostered a solid membership, which has demonstrated our organization to be capable of growth, positively contributing to campus life and broader society.
